How radiance tallow came to be
Hi, I'm Emma.
I grew up watching my mum turn every bottle around before she'd buy it. She had ulcerative colitis, so she was careful about everything that went in or on our bodies. That standard stuck with me.
I've had hives, rosacea, and sensitive, reactive skin for as long as I can remember. For years it meant a bathroom full of half-empty bottles — things I'd tried, hoped for, and given up on. The hardest part wasn't just how my skin looked. It was the feeling that nothing was ever going to work for me.
Then I tried tallow. A few weeks in, someone complimented my skin. I went from a full face of makeup every day to just a bit of blush and bronzer. If you've spent years feeling unsure about your skin, you'll understand why that wasn't small at all.
But I got curious. I wanted to know where ingredients actually came from — not just what they were. So I went looking. I visited a regenerative farm in New South Wales and travelled to Japan, where centuries of tradition sit behind the camellia japonica we source. Twenty-six batches and thirteen lab samples later, we got it right.
No essential oils. No filler ingredients. Complete transparency on where every core ingredient came from.
